The Kids Classic Clarence Edwards Golf Tournament raised $809,006 for the Meyer Center for Special Children.
Held April 30, 488 golfers played 27 holes of golf at one of six local courses, including the Cliffs at Keowee Falls, Cliffs Valley, Green Valley Country Club, Greenville Country Club Riverside, Smithfield’s Country Club and the Walker Course at Clemson University.
The event also featured lunch on the course and a post tournament awards ceremony and dinner at Greenville Country Club.
“For 36 years we have hosted the Kids Classic tournament to raise awareness and funds for the children of the Meyer Center,” said Meta Hendricks, executive director of Meyer Center for Special Children. “Founded by Clarence Edwards, he has been faithfully dedicated to making this golf tournament the best one in the Upstate. Growing it from one course to two courses, then three and four. Then six with 500 players and this year breaking another record grossing more than $1,000,000 for our kids …it truly is a labor of love and an enormous gift to the Meyer Center. It is a remarkable accomplishment and one we are deeply proud of.”
The Kids Classic Golf Tournament will be held May 6, 2025. For more information, visit meyercenter.org/kids-classic.
