Upstate International, a Greenville-based nonprofit, will host The Amazing Upstate Race, on Aug. 21.
The new, fundraising event will feature 20 teams of four who will compete at various locations across Greenville.
These locations include:
- Craft Axe Throwing
- 3s Golf & Grill
- Treetop Quest Greenville
“We have wanted to connect with our community in a much broader way for a long time and The Amazing Upstate Race is a great way to do that,” said Upstate International Executive Director Tracie Frese. “We are building out a day of adventure, puzzles, challenges and more that will not only engage these teams in an exciting event, but will support our larger educational initiatives in building a globally engaged Upstate, as well.”
The competition will start with an opening challenge presented by the Greenville Triumph and throughout the day, the teams will complete smaller, individual challenges as they are able to.
The event will culminate in a final challenge and international celebration to be held at the plaza at the AC Hotel by Marriott Greenville at 315 S. Main St.
Registration is $400 per team, but spaces are limited.
