The Barbara Stone Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Greenville, gave nine grants totaling $42,637 to Upstate nonprofits in May 2021.
The organizations will use the funds to support programming for people with disabilities.
“We had so many wonderful requests in this grant cycle, which was an indication of more groups wanting to offer innovative and inclusive programs for people with disabilities,” Barbara Stone Foundation executive director Lara Ceisel. “The fact is, more people are thinking about how to make more opportunities available, accessible and inclusive – that’s what we want to see. I encourage any non profit in the Upstate to apply for our Fall grants if they are interested in bringing new opportunities that focus on employment, health, recreation or services to people with disabilities.”
The recipients are:
- Carolina Dance Collaborative, $10,000
- Center for Developmental Services, $2,525
