Here is a recap of the Fountain Inn City Council meeting on Sept. 10.
Postponed: Outdoor displays and cafes ordinance amendment
Council unanimously moved to postpone a vote on an ordinance amendment regarding outdoor displays and cafes.
If approved, the ordinance will regulate outdoor merchandise displays, increase insurance requirements, establish detailed design standards, strengthen alcohol and safety regulations, create clearer enforcement procedures, and align public-space permits with the city’s Hospitality District vision and Unified Development Ordinance.
This item will go before the City Council for final approval on Oct. 8.
