The Learning Experience, a Florida-based daycare franchise, recently announced an updated timeline for opening five new child care centers in Upstate South Carolina.
The company plans to open new locations in Greenville, Simpsonville and Spartanburg by the end of 2027. Each new center will provide daycare and early childhood education services to approximately 180 children ages six weeks to six years old.
The five new locations are now expected to open at:
- 409 W. Georgia Road in Simpsonville in the fourth quarter of 2026
- 13 Brookfield Oaks Drive in Greenville in the first quarter of 2027
- 2700 Woodruff Road in Five Forks in the fourth quarter of 2027
- 681 Halton Road in Greenville in the fourth quarter of 2027
- 2980 Reidville Road in Spartanburg in the fourth quarter of 2027
Each child care center will have up to 10,000 square feet of indoor space with a 5,000-square-foot playground. Around 30 staff members and certified teachers will be employed at each of the centers.
The Learning Experience currently operates 491 locations in the United States and the United Kingdom. David Slavny, chief development officer at The Learning Experience, said Greenville and the broader Upstate region represent an exciting growth opportunity for the franchise.
“It’s a dynamic, family-focused market that continues to grow, and we see strong demand for high-quality early childhood education as more families and businesses make the area home,” Slavny said.
