A child development center in Greer announced plans to expand into a second location.
Minds in Motion Academy, formally Minds in Motion Learning Center, takes a holistic approach to early childhood education, focusing STEM, languages, sustainability and an expanded curriculum. Melissa and Darwin Eubanks opened the center at 2106 Old Spartanburg Road in 2010.
The owners recently acquired a second location at 1271 S. Suber Road next to Riverside High School in Greer. The new location will house the child care center’s growing after school, K5 readiness and summer programs.
The expansion along with the center’s new rebranding was announced during an open house event on Aug. 23. Melissa Eubanks said the company’s new name, Minds in Motion Academy, allows them to grow into the charter school market and expand their locations.
“Over the years, we’ve been able to do what few other child care centers have done, and by focusing on the whole child, we are developing young adults who are self-sufficient, kind, driven and successful,” Melissa Eubanks said.
