The public is invited to learn details about a proposed bridge replacement project over Fourmile Creek on Jones Mill Road in Pickens County during an open house meeting Sept. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m.
The meeting will take place at Kings Grove Baptist Church, 1335 Old Seneca Road, in Central. It will include SCDOT representatives to discuss details and answer questions.
The project involves replacing the bridge over Fourmile Creek on Jones Mill Road, and providing bridge and road approaches that meet current design standards. The existing bridge was built in 1958.
The agency is also accepting public comments on the project through Oct. 1. Comments can be made in person at the Sept. 17 meeting or online through the project website at projectportal.scdot.gov/S160overFourmile.
