The 2023 season of the TD Saturday Market kicks off on Saturday, May 6.
The market, presented by Prisma Health, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday on Main Street at McBee Ave.
A record of 85 farmers, crafters and processors will be featured throughout the market’s 21st season.
“The city of Greenville is proud to once again provide a seasonal market featuring locally grown fresh produce, gourmet foods, fresh cut flowers and artisan goods to Main Street in downtown Greenville each week,” said Rachel Pitman, the city’s Saturday Market coordinator, at a press conference on May 2.
This year’s TD Saturday Market also includes:
- Free yoga sessions offered once a month at 8 a.m. by Prisma Health-certified trainers
- Mimosas sold on the first Saturday of every month starting May 6
“We are also excited to announce that new for this season we will have a selection of our series sponsors positioned on East McBee Avenue for guests to find ready-to-eat selections all in one place,” Pitman said. “Each week Colonial Milling, Limoncello and Papi’s Tacos’ new food truck will be selling a variety of menu items. Pepsi products will also be available for purchase on East McBee.”
Free interactive activities including live music, culinary demonstrations and children’s activities through Spuds & Spouts will be available in the market’s Front Porch area.
“All of us are very enthusiastic about Saturday market,” said Mayor Knox White. “We all have kind of our favorite special moments in our wonderful city, in our downtown. This probably is a lot of people’s very special moment.”
TD Bank, a longtime sponsor of the market, will continue to provide its TD Bank Bucks program which helps cover booth fees for select farmers and processors participating in the market.
“I’m also glad to announce that we’ll continue our TD Tokens program again this year, said Chris Fincher, Upstate regional vice president for TD Bank. “It was a big success last year, so we wanted to bring it back.”
Through the TD Tokens program, people who use their EBT card at the market for a minimum of $5 will receive $10 worth of healthy bucks. With TD Bank’s $10 match, shoppers receive a total of $20 of free tokens to spend at the market.
The market will run through May until Oct. 28. Free downtown parking will be available for shoppers from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the parking lot next to Grill Marks.
