All nine of Renewable Water Resources’ water resource recovery facilities have received national recognition for performance and compliance, the utility announced Sept. 22.
The facilities received National Association of Clean Water Agencies’ Peak Performance Awards based on ReWa’s 2025 compliance and performance related to its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits.
Three ReWa water resource recovery facilities earned platinum peak performance awards for 100% compliance for at least five consecutive years:
- Mauldin Road (22 years)
- Georges Creek (21 years)
- Marietta (20 years)
Five facilities were recognized for perfect compliance in 2025: Dublin Creek, Piedmont, Lower Reedy, Pelham and North Greenville University. The Gilder Creek water resource recovery facility was recognized for outstanding compliance with only one violation.
Through its nine treatment facilities, ReWa treats and returns 41 million gallons of water daily into Upstate rivers and streams.
