Three generations of wood flooring excellence
If you’re looking for hardwood flooring — traditional or exotic, retail or custom — Jordan Lumber Company has it all. The family-owned company, flourishing since its founding in 1934 by C.G. Jordan, specializes in hardwood flooring, serving builders, independent installers and homeowners.
“There are a lot of years of experience in the family,” said David Sweeny, who joined the family and the business after marrying into the Jordan family. Now a vice president, he has been proudly working for 18 years alongside his brother-in-law, vice president Keith Jordan, and his father-in-law, president and owner Gary Jordan. The newest addition, Ben Greene, has been in the industry for 14 years and brings his experience to the sales and marketing at Jordan Lumber.
“When you’ve got a family-owned and operated business, the service is different,” David said. “We’re all in the business together, and that creates a trust and a connection with our customers.”
As with any long-successful company, Jordan Lumber has adapted to meet the market demands. Still dedicated to its core business, the company has responded to the increased demand for specialty hardwoods and installations. “We install a wide array of hardwood floors to meet any taste,” said Keith, who joined the family business in 1997 after graduating from Clemson University.
“We have high-quality employees across the board who are very respectful of our customers and their homes,” Keith said. “We treat them well and they treat us well. We really enjoy operating in the Upstate market.”
