Greenville County Schools recently announced its elementary, middle and high school students outperformed the state on several assessments during the 2024-25 school year.
According to the latest assessment data, students in elementary and middle school surpassed the state in South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Assessments in English language arts, math, and science.
Middle and high school students also exceeded the state in all subject areas on the end-of-course examination program. The tested subject areas include algebra I, English II, biology I and U.S. history.
The South Carolina Career Ready Assessment was offered to students in 11th and 12th grades in spring 2025 to measure workforce skills. Approximately 74.4% of students who took the assessment earned a credential, surpassing the state rate of 69%.
Superintendent Burke Royster said this year’s achievements underscore the unwavering dedication of the students, faculty, and school and district leadership in Greenville County.
“These achievements are made possible by the direction set forth by our board of trustees, which remains focused on student growth and achievement while preparing our graduates with college-level coursework and workforce credentials through our Graduation Plus framework,” Royster said.
