Mission Statement
Our mission is to transform lives in the communities we serve by feeding the hungry, addressing food insecurity, and building a healthy and hopeful hunger-free tomorrow.
Impact
Harvest Hope Food Bank provides more than 25 million meals each year to South Carolinians facing hunger, serving as a critical lifeline for families, children and seniors. In the Upstate, 1 in 8 individuals experiences food insecurity. There is an urgent need for reliable access to nutritious food right here in our local community. Through our Emergency Food Pantry, dedicated child and senior feeding programs, and a strong network of more than 350 food pantries and soup kitchens, Harvest Hope is working every day to nourish our neighbors and build a stronger, healthier community.

Volunteer Opportunities
Individuals and groups of volunteers are always welcome and needed in our warehouse and Emergency Food Pantry. Volunteer duties include sorting and packing food and feeding neighbors through the Emergency Food Pantry. Most volunteer shifts are Monday-Thursday between 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; however, other volunteer opportunities and times can be coordinated through our website. Volunteers can sign up ahead of time through our website.
Giving Opportunities
The most impactful way to support Harvest Hope Food Bank is through monetary donations, which provide the flexibility to source and distribute nutritious food where it’s needed most. Supporters can make a one-time gift or join our community of recurring donors whose ongoing generosity helps sustain hunger relief efforts year-round. We also welcome donations of non-expired food items and offer numerous opportunities for individuals, businesses and organizations to host food drives that directly benefit neighbors in need.
