Tigerville Elementary School was named a 2025 South Carolina Blue Ribbon School.
The program honors public and private schools for their academic excellence and successful progress in closing achievement gaps. Schools are selected based on student achievement data, innovative instructional practices and overall school culture.
Tigerville Elementary School was one of the six South Carolina schools recognized as a 2025 honoree by Gov. Henry McMaster and State Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver on Nov. 5.
“This honor speaks highly of their dedication to fostering outstanding student achievement, connecting with the community, and welcoming strong parental involvement, all of which create a successful learning environment worthy of the esteemed Blue Ribbon recognition,” said Greenville County Schools Superintendent Burke Royster.
Principal Amy Kern said they are honored to receive recognition as a Blue Ribbon School in the category for Exemplary High-Performing Schools for 2025. Tigerville Elementary was previously named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2018.
“This distinction reflects the unwavering dedication of our teachers and staff, the hard work and perseverance of our students, and the invaluable partnerships we share with our parents and families,” Kern said. “At Tigerville Elementary, we believe that success is achieved through collaboration and shared commitment. This honor is a testament to the strength and excellence of our entire school community.”
