While the restaurant’s social media hasn’t been active since 2020 and its website isn’t online, Brick Street Cafe is still open for business.
Like others, Brick Street — located at 315 Augusta St.— had to make cuts to staff and hours to keep its doors open during the COVID-19 pandemic, said manager James Wilson.
“The only thing I can think of is the schedule changes we made have made people think we were closed,” Wilson said. “We used to have a dinner shift but when 2020 and COVID happened, we had to let 30 of our staff members go and reduce our hours.”
The restaurant serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. It is also open on those same days from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for customers to pick up whole cakes or individual slices.
