The city of Greenville has announced a ramp closure due to a sinkhole.
The northbound ramp from Stone Avenue onto Interstate 385 closed Aug. 28 after a sinkhole formed in the roadway. The South Carolina Department of Transportation told the city that crews will excavate the area to determine the cause of the sinkhole.
According to the city, repairs to the ramp will begin Aug. 31. There is currently no estimated time frame for the ramp’s reopening.
