The city of Greenville hosted the fifth year of a Juneteenth celebration June 19 at 9 a.m. A parade was held from Linky Stone Park to Unity Park along the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail.
Event speakers included
- Keynote speaker, Dr. Jennifer Dixon-McKnight, associate professor of History and African American Studies at Winthrop University
- Special song performance by First Lady of Song Loretta Holloway
- Poetry reading by City Poet Laureate Glenis Redmond
