At Vicario micro-distillery and farm, Renato Vicario and Janette Wesley create 15 different liqueurs and gin from a considerable compendium of knowledge of the historical, cultural and mythological characteristics of the herbs, spices, nuts and fruits which have been used for many centuries in liqueur making. Inspired by centuries of Italian traditions, Vicario’s products express old-world wisdom for new-world endeavors. Folks can visit their farm and facility and take a tour where they can see, touch, smell and taste many of the farm-fresh ingredients grown on the property that go into their award-winning liqueurs. The other ingredients come from the family’s other farm in Tuscany, Italy, offering a rich array of estate-grown elements.
The primary mission of Vicario Liqueurs and Spirits is to offer an outstanding taste experience in the glass. If not grown directly by the Vicario family, the herbs, fruits and spices are organically-grown or wild-harvested from the regions and places of the world where the plants are renowned for exceptional quality and taste, presenting the best of terroir in every element. These efforts are recognized immediately when tasted.
