United Housing Connections has named Nick Bush, program manager of United Ministries’ Place of Hope Day Shelter, as its 2022 Humanitarian Award winner, the organization announced Oct. 3.
“United Ministries is so proud to have Nick on our staff team and all of the ways that he truly serves the ‘least of these’ in our community,” said United Ministries Executive Director Lizzie Bebber. “His dedication to people living in poverty and experiencing homelessness is a great asset to our work and the larger Greenville community and we are delighted to celebrate him as this year’s UHC Humanitarian Award recipient.”
Bush was nominated for the annual award after UHC solicited nominations for a person who has dedicated their life’s work to serving those experiencing homelessness through newspaper ads, press releases, eblasts and social media posts.
Bush will be honored on Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. during UHC’s annual Humanitarian Award Reception at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Greenville. The event will feature guest speakers sharing their stories and experiences working alongside Bush.
