Miracle Hill Ministries, an organization that provides services for homeless children and adults, announced March 21 it raised $508,000 at its annual fundraising banquet on March 14 at the Greenville Convention Center.
The event featured stories from individuals and families served by the ministry.
Attendees also heard from Miracle Hill Ministries President and CEO Ryan Duerk, who discussed the organization’s commitment to work to support and therapy for children in the South Carolina foster care system.
“Our state is still 1,075 foster families short,” said Duerk. “Teens and sibling groups remain to be the largest group in need of care.”
In 2022, the organization cared for 367 foster children, served 2,008 individuals through its rescue missions and supported 478 adults through addiction recovery programs.
