Finding a safe place for a child to play is important.
After attending one of his children’s friend’s birthday parties, Upstate businessman Austin Motes realized he and his friend Daniel Kingsbury could create a better play environment for kids.

Following that spark of inspiration, a new indoor play concept, Play Café at Judson Mill, was born.
Occupying 17,000 square feet of “The Warehouse” at Judson Mill District, the indoor play concept will feature two large play structures, one for children ages two to six and the other for children up to 12 years old.
The facility will also house eight party rooms, which parents may rent for birthdays or other celebrations and relax in the café while their children play.
“We’re so excited to bring Play Café at Judson Mill to Greenville,” said Motes. “Like any other parent, my number one concern for my children is safety. But there are so many things you can do structurally to create a safe and exciting environment for kids to just be kids, and to give parents the opportunity to relax and enjoy the peace of mind that their kids are safely having fun.”
Play Café at Judson Mill is slated to open in late summer 2023.
