Final Approval: Annexation for apartment complex
City Council gave final approval to a trio of annexation requests for 24.4 acres on North Dobson Road.
The applicant, Streams Development, plans to build a 264-unit apartment complex.
Approved: Over $53,500 for Fire Department turn out gear
Council approved a request to purchase additional sets of turn out gear, safety clothing used for emergency calls, for new Greer Fire Department employees.
The gear, which will be purchased from AEST Fire & Safety, is expected to cost $53,509.12.
Final approval: Rezoning for truck terminal
Council gave final approval to a rezoning request for 1.92 acres at 445 Mayfield Road.
The applicant, Joga Singh, plans to use the property to develop a truck terminal.
Appointed: Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee member
Candice Good was appointed to the Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee.
She succeeds Reno Deaton, who resigned from the committee on Jan. 18.
Good’s term expires Dec. 31, 2025.
