Approved:$619K for site work at new facility
Council unanimously approved a request from staff to spend $620,000 from the general fund on initial site work for a new fire and police training facility on Hood Road.
The work will involve grading and demolition of existing buildings on the 4.7-acre parcel at 1985 Hood Road where the facility will be built.
The $17 million fire and police training facility is one of several capital projects to be paid for by a $100 million bond issue approved in March of this year.
