Bon Secours first SC health system to offer new pancreatic cancer treatment

The procedure is used to erode cancerous tissue while minimizing damage to the surrounding tissue.

This year’s event will fund a new surgical oncology procedure suite at the Bon Secours St. Francis Cancer Center.

Sean Dogan, community health director at Bon Secours St. Francis, said the goal is to help more of the local senior population “age in place."

Bon Secours St. Francis was named a “Best Hospital” for 2022 and was ranked first overall in Greenville by the U.S. News & World Report.

With no plans to bring in a replacement, Bon Secours St. Francis is now without a nun on campus for the first time since 1932.
