North Carolina-based author Kristy Woodson Harvey will promote her new novel “Falling for Peachtree Bluff” with a stop in Greenville.
For this book, Harvey drew initial inspiration during the COVID-19 pandemic, when readers emailed her asking her to continue her Peachtree Bluff series.

This book picks up with sisters Caroline, Sloane and Emerson, as well as other family members. The family business is thriving, Caroline’s kids are great and Emerson’s hunky costar has absolutely swept her off her feet. But when her not-quite-ex-husband decides it’s high time he begged Caroline for a second chance, she is thrown into the midst of a love triangle she never saw coming. Caroline is the family fixer and, when Sloane and Emerson and her daughter Vivi need her help with their troubles, she has to decide whether to swoop in and save them — or if it’s finally time to focus on what she wants.
Matriarch Ansley and her new husband, Jack, have finally hit their stride. But when a scandal rips through Peachtree Bluff — and Jack just might be at the center of it — Ansley is left questioning whether the man she has loved since she was 16 years old, the man she fought so hard to be with, is actually who she thought he was at all.
“This series was originally supposed to be three books,” said Harvey. “I pitched the idea to my publisher of writing a Christmas book. I thought, ‘this is a total bonus book. When I finish this I will be done with Peachtree Bluff.’ The minute I got done writing it, I knew what happened next in the story and I just started writing it (this book). I never thought it would get published.”
When Harvey set out to write the Peachtree Bluff series, she knew she wanted to write about sisters and felt three was a good number because it gives you conflict.
“There’s always someone who’s unhappy (or) teaming up on someone else,” Harvey said. “My mom is one of four (sisters). Growing up, I would always know who my mom was talking to because I felt that they had such different relationships. I was fascinated by that and tried to bring (it) into the books.”
Harvey will participate in M.Judson Booksellers’ Lunch and Lit Sept. 15 at The Lazy Goat in downtown Greenville from noon to 1 p.m. Admission is $60 per person and includes a three-course meal and a signed copy of “Falling for Peachtree Bluff.” For more information, visit mjudsonbooks.com.
