Independent games studio CluedUpp Games will bring its CluedUpp Detective outdoor game to Greenville March 13 as participants try to catch The Greenville Ripper, a fictional assailant who has killed three men and is on the loose.
Starting between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 10 teams of up to six people will leave from a secret starting location to begin traveling around the city to try to solve the case by cracking clues, completing puzzles and interrogating virtual witnesses.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CluedUpp will have each of the teams start at different locations and is requesting teams stay at least 6 feet apart from each other as they play the outdoor mystery game.
Participants will need to assemble their team of two to six detectives, come up with a team name and have at least one smartphone to use. Children under age 16 may play as an extra on any participating team but may not play the game on their own.
At the end of the game, CluedUpp will award the following prizes:
- Fastest team
- Best fancy dress/detective-inspired team costumes
- Best team picture
- Best team name
- Best young detective for participants under age 16
- Best K-9
Tickets are $52 per team. For more information, visit cluedupp.com/products/the-ripper-greenville-sc.
