International Ballet’s 2018-2019 season that kicks off Nov. 17 features a variety of dance styles, ranging from classical ballet to Russian folk dancing, with each production also showcasing the talents of local musicians.
As high school seniors who have danced together or shared roles in every performance to date, Lydia and Logan Acker, 18, will close out this stage of their young careers on April 14 and 15, performing as Swanhilda, the lead role in the classical ballet “Coppélia,” with International Ballet.
Artisphere, ranked one of the top fine arts shows in the country, poured money into artists’ pockets and Greenville’s economy. In 2017, the festival broke all previous records for economic impact, attendance and sales.
This year's concert features musicians Jason Currin and members of his DRUM Percussion Studio and cellist Sharon Gerber, who will present original as well as classic works along with International Ballet dancers.
