The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club and Carolina Elite Soccer Academy (CESA), a youth soccer academy based in South Carolina, have entered into a multi-year partnership to work to expand and foster the growth of youth soccer in the Upstate, the organizations announced March 30.
“As our club continues to evolve and grow, it is imperative that we work to continue to help grow the game and enhance the playing experience of young players in the Upstate,” said Greenville Triumph president Chris Lewis. “Working closely with a youth club that is as established and well-known as CESA will be vitally important as we continue to build out our youth platforms and create opportunities that can serve as a pathway to the pro ranks for both boys and girls playing in the Upstate.”
As part of the partnership, CESA’s Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) and Elite Clubs Regional League (ECRL) boys teams players will have CESA and Triumph logos on their uniforms while the girls teams players’ uniforms will feature CESA and Liberty logos.
Both the Triumph and Liberty teams will also carry current and former players from the CESA program. Ahead of this announcement, the Liberty has signed 18 current or former CESA players while the Triumph signed CESA ECNL players:
- Patrick Cayelli of TL Hanna High School
- Selvin Altamirano of Eastside High School
In addition to branding and carrying current and former CESA players, the Triumph Soccer Club will also work with CESA to identify and develop talent for USL Academy events, such as the 2022 USL Academy Cup from March 31 to April 3 in Tampa, Florida. The Triumph will also sponsor the new Turf Field #1 at the MeSA Soccer Complex, which is set to open later this spring at 1020 Anderson Ridge Road in Greenville.
