The Greenville Drive announced upgrades and improvements to Fluor Field as its home opener for the 2024 season approaches in early April.
The High-A minor league team won the South Atlantic League last season. Ticket prices will continue to start at $9 as in past seasons, according to a release from the team.
New LED stadium lighting and controls have been added to be consistent with Major League Baseball standards. The new system will limit glare, improve light uniformity and reduce shadows across the field. It will also allow for choreographed and programmed light shows.
New food items have been added to the concession stands, including specialty hot dogs, homemade chips and funnel cake fries. The 500 Club has been renovated and expanded, and also offers new menu items and a variety of games such as cornhole and ping pong.
In addition, all point-of-sale systems at the ballpark now include a range of touch-to-pay options such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
First pitch for the the Drive’s 19th season is April 5 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The first home game is April 9 at 7:05 p.m. against Bowling Green. Fluor Field is located on South Main Street in Greenville’s West End.
