Furman Athletics announced Jan. 21 all remaining “Weekends at the Well” games will be moved from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena to Timmons Arena.
The impacted games include Chattanooga on Jan. 30, Wofford on Feb. 6 and Western Carolina on Feb. 13.
“Our Furman family has been looking forward to coming together to celebrate ‘Weekends at the Well,’” said Jason Donnelly, Furman University’s director of athletics. “While ticket sales and corporate sponsorship have been solid, our Greenville community continues to experience health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic that impact the welfare of our students, faculty and staff, so we will not host these events at this time. Given the challenges of completing the season, moving all of our home games to Timmons Arena gives our team the best opportunity to compete for a Southern Conference Championship and may allow our students to attend future games on campus if health and safety conditions improve.”
Ticket holders who purchased tickets at Bon Secours Wellness Arena will be issued full refunds and will be invited to attend a special preseason basketball event next year ahead of the 2021–2022 season.
