Wyche P.A., a full-service law firm with offices in the Upstate, has partnered with Conestee Nature Preserve to develop a “nature playscape,” the business announced April 22.
The project, which will serve as Wyche’s second Centennial Legacy Project to celebrate the firm’s 100 years in business, will be built on the Nature Preserve at 840 Mauldin Road in Greenville. It will serve as a playground (without playground equipment) to encourage children to connect with nature and will join similar natural playscapes across the country, including:
- San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park
- Louis’s Forest Park
- Kalamazoo’s Bronson Park
A construction timeline and estimated completion date are TBA.
“The Conestee Nature Preserve ‘Nature Playscape’ will provide children with the opportunity to build log and stick forts and climb through vine tunnels, created from materials found in the Preserve,” said Conestee Nature Preserve executive director Michael Corley. “And the playscape will be discreetly fenced in, so parents can let their kids get wet and muddy in the man-made stream, in a controlled-yet-natural setting. We’re excited to partner with Wyche to offer this access to families in the Upstate.”
Wyche’s other Centennial Legacy Project was the Greenville Center for Creative Arts “City of Women” exhibit of work by more than 50 Upstate artists in a variety of mediums.
