Greenville-based company World Finance presented 10 COVID-19 frontline nurses with a $2,000 gift on The Dr. Oz Show, which aired Feb. 4.
The recipients were from multiple states including New Jersey, New York and Florida.
“World Finance is grateful to all the frontline workers who work tirelessly to help others as we face this global pandemic together,” said Chad Prashad, CEO of World Acceptance, parent company of World Finance. “Growing up, I watched my own mother put others’ needs before her own throughout her four-decade career as a nurse, and I saw firsthand the dedication and passion it takes to serve in health care. We were thrilled to have this opportunity to do what we do best— help people get back to the good in life. This gift is just one way to express our appreciation for the health care providers, essential workers and our own employees who are working hard to help those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The nurses were chosen due to their experience working on some of the highest-risk COVID-19 floors in hospitals across the country.
