Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Upstate Pride SC announced this year’s Pride Week will be held virtually from Nov. 1-7.
“I love people, and to know we can’t do anything in person with our amazing LGBTQ family hurts,” said Upstate Pride SC vice president Caroline Caldwell. “But we can’t risk the health and safety of this community, especially because there are folks in the area who are immunocompromised. We can protect them while still celebrating who we are as a queer family.”
This year’s Pride Week theme will be #PrideAtHome, which was originally launched by Upstate Pride SC during June for Pride Month. In addition, a Facebook filter for profile photos will be relaunched with updated branding and activated for the fall season.
The organization will be announcing details about the Pride Week virtual events, once they become available, via email and social media. For more information, visit upstatepridesc.org.
