The Children’s Museum of the Upstate has brought back weekly programming and adjusted its operating hours at both locations in Greenville and Spartanburg.
Previous weekly programming such as Storytime and More and Open Art Studios has returned to TCMU-Greenville, and weekday afternoon art activities and story time has been welcomed back to TCMU-Spartanburg.
“Programming is integral to our mission, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring back many TCMU fan favorites,” said Javy Pagan, TCMU programs manager. “Programs at TCMU are developed to spark creativity, collaboration, discovery, imagination and fun through play-based learning the entire family can safely participate in and enjoy.”
With the return of weekly programs, both museums will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday with TCMU-Greenville also operating 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, but advanced time-entry tickets must be purchased to limit capacity at both locations.
With the adjusted hours, the museum will also continue its cleaning and sanitization efforts, including various techniques to clean props, toys and exhibits. Both locations will also have new hand sanitization stations installed by early January and increased regularly scheduled deep cleaning when the museum is closed to the public.
