Upstate residents can help raise mental health awareness and raise money by participating in a 5K fun walk on Saturday, May 21, at Furman University.
The walk is part of a May Mental Health Month awareness campaign by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greenville. It will take place at 10 a.m., with registration at 9 a.m., and the Upstate walk is one of more than 90 NAMI events held nationwide.
More than 700 people are expected to walk and raise funds for education and support programs.
