Following a vote by Greer CPW Commissioners to approve new electric tariffs, the utility provider’s residential and commercial electric customers will see their bills reduced by 2.5% in 2021.
“We have worked diligently to reduce our operational costs over the last few years,” said Mike Richard, general manager of Greer CPW. “Those reductions plus a decrease in the cost to purchase power allowed us to pass the savings to the customer.”
Greer CPW provides electric service to approximately 21,000 customers within the city of Greer and in some unincorporated areas nearby.
The new electric rates will go into effect Jan. 1, 2021.
