There will be several lane closures and detours along the Interstate 85/I-385 Gateway project starting Friday night and ending Monday morning.

9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18- 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19

  • The right lanes of I-85 northbound between Salters Road and Roper Mountain Road will be closed. The two left lanes of I-85 northbound will remain open.
  • Traffic for I-385 will detour to Exit 51A-C then Exit 51A to Woodruff Road where they will turn right and proceed to the Woodruff/I-385 intersection.
  • Traffic on eastbound Woodruff seeking I-85 northbound will also detour to the Woodruff/I-385 intersection.

9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19-5:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21

  • Traffic for I-385 southbound from I-85 northbound will detour at Exit 51C to I-385 northbound and will then take Exit 37 to Roper Mountain Road where drivers will cross the bridge to access I-385 southbound.
  • Traffic on eastbound Woodruff seeking I-85 northbound will detour to the Woodruff/I-385 intersection.
  • Traffic on westbound Woodruff seeking I-85 northbound will detour to turn right at Roper Mountain Road then turn right to I-385 southbound then take Exit 36A to I-85 northbound.
