Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport announced that three airlines will offer nonstop flights from GSP to the Dallas area on Dec. 28 and Dec. 30. The flights were added to accommodate Clemson University fans on their way to watch the Tigers take on Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 29.
“We definitely see plenty of fans clad in orange and white at GSP throughout the year, and we look forward to their enthusiasm around the playoffs,” GSP president and CEO Dave Edwards said in the release.
Fans can book flights with American, Delta, and Southwest airlines. Two daily flights from GSP to Dallas/Ft. Worth are offered through American. Delta and Southwest have added flights especially for the Cotton Bowl travelers. The Delta flight lands in DFW, and the Southwest flight lands in Dallas-Love Field.
“GSP strives to be the most convenient option for passengers and we appreciate having airline partners step up to meet the needs of our customers for this important game,” Edwards said.
