The city of Greenville is expected to extend its mask ordinance at a special-called meeting on Thursday, April 8.
The measure, which was last extended at a Dec. 14 City Council meeting, requires patrons to don masks in liquor stores, laundromats, dry cleaners and nearly all retail establishments, including sporting goods stores, furniture and home improvement stores and stores that sell clothing, jewelry, luggage, leather goods, books, crafts and any “supplies for household consumption or use.”
Employees of these businesses are also required to wear masks.
The ordinance will expire after 61 days once approved.
