Putting Southern Charm in your home decor
When Matt Cobb was in business school at Clemson University, he didn’t know that his own business would one day provide an essential element to the school’s newest building. Cobb, along with Stephen Wisdom and Sandy Williamson, built Southern Traditions into one of Greenville’s leaders in window treatments, installing shutters, blinds, draperies, motorized shades, exterior shutters and even automated awnings.
Cobb and his partners at Southern Traditions provided all of the window treatments for the new Clemson University College of Business. At over 175,000 square feet, the project was quite an undertaking that included 400 roller shades. Many of the roller shades are automated, and some controlled shades adjust automatically based on the weather outside. The brand-new building, opened in 2020, required innovative window treatments, which is why they turned to Southern Traditions. The company also outfitted the new IPTAY building in November with top-of-the-line window treatments.
The commercial side of Southern Traditions has taken off in the past year, but the company still offers the best in residential work as well.
“We carry great products, but above everything else, we value our interaction with people,” says Cobb. “It’s our goal to enhance the lives of our customers and our team members through establishing and maintaining quality relationships.”
