Creating fitness communities that change lives
Rob Jackman and his team are on a mission to use fitness as a platform to change lives in Greenville and around the world. Jackman attended Samford University, where he discovered Birmingham-based Iron Tribe Fitness. After learning more about the company, he was hooked.
“We love the fact that we know all of our members. We know their goals, preferences and challenges. It’s this tight-knit community that allows us to serve our members through fitness, nutrition and accountability.” he says.
Rob joined one of the first Iron Tribe franchises in Montgomery as a coach and was sold on the format that caps each class at 20 members and the facility’s total membership at 300. This intentional restriction on growth allows coaches to know their athletes on a personal level and target training to help meet their individual goals.
Rob brought Iron Tribe to Greenville five years ago in May 2015 and has developed a loyal following at his Augusta Road facility.
“I love to create relationships and use fitness to genuinely help people,” Rob says. “That’s really what motivates me and my staff.”
Rob also uses Iron Tribe’s model to do good beyond Greenville by partnering with nonprofits such as Neverthirst and Vapor Ministries. These organizations work to bring clean water, medical care and food to poverty-stricken communities across the globe.
