Kelly Caldwell is providing the Upstate with the therapeutic experience of floating in solitude. At Drift Float & Spa, customers have the opportunity to float freely in a pool with the peace of mind that they are alone in a soundproof room. In these cutting-edge float tanks, customers can tune out the world while drifting just above the water’s surface.
Drift’s owner started floating to clear her mind, but she soon realized it had tangible benefits in her daily life. “I didn’t know it was great for PTSD, depression and anxiety,” she says. “I saw a lot of benefits from floating, and it changed my whole life.”
Kelly was hooked, and she wanted other people to experience the benefits of floating. She returned to her hometown of Greenville and opened up Drift Float & Spa, which now features four services: float tanks, infrared sauna, Lucia light and an oxygen bar. The three float tanks feature top-tier sanitation, ensuring that 100% of the water gets filtered through four different systems after each use.
“At Drift, we have a real focus on innovation and providing tools that aren’t available anywhere else,” Kelly explains. “Greenville is becoming one of the premier cities in the South, but it was missing this cutting-edge spa service. We’ve been able to bring a whole new experience to people of the Upstate.”
