North Carolina-based Novant Health recently held a topping-out ceremony for its new 20-bed hospital in Greenville.
The ceremony marked the placement of the final structural steel beam atop the new medical facility under construction at the corner of Patewood Drive and Frontage Road. The beam was signed by team members from Novant Health, Vannoy Construction and Meadows & Ohly.
“This milestone reflects the incredible collaboration and dedication of the many people working to bring this project from vision to reality,” said Ryan Lee, president of Novant Health Greenville. “Every beam, wall and foundation represents our commitment to expand access to high-quality healthcare and invest in the future of this growing community.”
Novant Health broke ground on its Greenville medical campus in August 2025. The nonprofit health system was granted a certificate of need by the South Carolina Department of Public Health last summer. The new hospital is expected to open in late 2027, expanding healthcare access for patients across Greenville and the Upstate.
