U.S. News & World Report recently recognized Bon Secours St. Francis as a 2024-25 “Best Hospital.”
Two of the health system’s campuses – St. Francis Eastside and St. Francis Downtown – were ranked first in the Greenville metro area. Matt Caldwell, president of Bon Secours St. Francis, said they are honored to receive this recognition.
“Our care team members deserve credit for their dedication to our mission, always going above and beyond to bring good help to those in need and ensuring our patients get access to exceptional care,” Caldwell said. “I know they are the reason we continue to receive this recognition for being a top hospital in the Upstate.”
U.S. News evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals and only 11% of evaluated hospitals earned a “Best Hospital” ranking. The designation indicates a hospital excels in areas such as clinical outcomes, nursing care and patient experience.
Bon Secours St. Francis earned high ratings in nine categories of common adult procedures and conditions:
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Colon cancer surgery
- Heart attack
- Heart failure
- Hip replacement
- Kidney failure
- Knee replacement
- Leukemia
- Lymphoma
- Myeloma
- Prostate cancer surgery
