Wade Hampton High School recently raised $270,020 for the Barbara Stone Foundation during its 2026 Fall Spirit Week.
The Greenville-based nonprofit organization was selected as this year’s beneficiary of the high school’s weeklong student fundraiser. The funds raised will support the Barbara Stone Foundation’s efforts to expand access to employment support for individuals with disabilities.
Wade Hampton High School’s Spirit Week, held Sept. 19 through 25, included a student pep rally, a car wash, a sports camp, a talent show and a variety of sporting events. The week concluded with a check presentation to the Barbara Stone Foundation during halftime of the Generals’ home football game against Chapman High School on Friday.
Lara Ceisel, executive director of the Barbara Stone Foundation, said the nonprofit organization was honored to partner with Wade Hampton High School as this year’s fundraising recipient.
“This is a wonderful example of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose, and we are excited to continue our work of making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, their families and our entire community,” Ceisel said.
