The city of Greenville will host the inaugural selection for the Michelin Guide American South. The unveiling will take place the evening of Nov. 3 at the Peace Center. The new Guide’s announcement was made April 2.
Using Greenville as the guide’s introductory host for the event represents a longstanding relationship between the city and Michelin North America that has been mutually beneficial. The business has been headquartered in the Upstate for 50 years and has generated a $266 billion impact for the state.
Business aside, the hosting location selection also speaks to a burgeoning food scene that has flourished to over 1000 restaurants in the county and over 200 in Greenville’s downtown.
The event will be invitation only with further details released in the coming months.
