Swamp Pizza Pop-Up
Here’s a Friday lunch idea: Swamp Pizza at Swamp Rabbit Café and Grocery (205 Cedar Lane Road) is having another pop-up from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. They’ll have a limited menu of their wood-fired pizza and draft beer selections.
Wind Down Happy Hour
Southern Tide clothing store (200 N. Main St.) is hosting a complimentary happy hour on Friday from 4–7 p.m. There will be beer from Thomas Creek, Pasqua wine, and snacks. This is also a chance to browse the store’s selection of Last Catch Sale deals.
Monster Jam, a live monster truck entertainment show featuring racing and freestyle competition, will be at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena (650 N. Academy St.) on Friday at 7 p.m. and for two shows on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The event includes a monster truck lineup of Grave Digger, Monster Mutt, Bad News Travels Fast, Aftershock, Krazy Train, and Mechanical Mischief, although it is subject to change. Tickets, which start at $16, can be purchased here.
The South Carolina Children’s Theatre production of “Charlotte’s Web,” a beloved classic about the friendship between a pig and a spider, begins its run on Friday night. Shows are at the Peace Center Gunter Theatre (300 S. Main St.). Tickets range from $18–$27 and can be purchased here.
SIRSY w/ Darby Wilcox
New York-based rock and soul duo SIRSY is playing a show at Gottrocks (200 Eisenhower Drive) on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. Local indie folk/rock artist Darby Wilcox will open. Show is ages 21+.

Brewery 85 Third Anniversary
Brewery 85 (6 Whitlee Court) is hosting a three-year celebration on Saturday from noon–5 p.m., which will include tunes from Americana/country artist Bryan Bobo Music and food available for purchase from The Chuck Truck, Cluck Squeal and Friends Food Truck, and Rays Mobile. In addition to having Brewery 85 beer on tap, specialty beers from Holy City Brewing, River Rat Brewery, The Frothy Beard Brewing Company, Revelry Brewing Co., and Carolina Bauernhaus Ales, among others, will also be available. Beer tickets are $5. The brewery, which is usually dog friendly, is asking people to leave their furry friends home for this event.
Corey Smith at The Blind Horse Saloon
Country/Americana artist Corey Smith is playing a show at The Blind Horse (1035 Lowndes Hill Road) on Saturday night. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets, which are $20, can be purchased here.
The “House Party” Event at Gottrocks
Gottrocks (200 Eisenhower Drive) is hosting a House Party concert series on Saturday night from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. with house, bass and hip-hop music from Drips + Maatticus (9–10:10 p.m.), Native$ (10:10–11:45 p.m.), RAMO (11:50 p.m.–12:20 a.m.), Lashaun (12:25–12:55 a.m.), and DJ FWB (1 a.m.–close). Tickets are $10, and the event is ages 21+.
LOZ at Aloft
Jam/rock/reggae group The LOZ Band will play a show at the Aloft Hotel’s WXYZ Lounge (5 N. Laurens St.) on Saturday night from 10 p.m.–1 a.m.
Sunday, Jan. 29
The Ninjaplex (15 Beverly Road, Ste. 1) is hosting a Rock Show event on Sunday night beginning at 8 p.m. (Doors open at 7 p.m.) The lineup includes Southern rock group Lee Bains III & the Glory Fires, country garage rock trio The Long Canes, and punk/hardcore group The Indoor Kids. The show is all ages. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
