The Poinsett Club was recently named a Platinum Club of America by Club Leaders Forum, a consulting source of the private club industry.
The Greenville club was one of 50 city clubs across the country selected for this designation.
“COVID-19 presented a unique set of challenges for the club industry this year, but it has been important to our staff that our service offerings retained our high standards,” said Brent Reeder, general manager of the Poinsett Club. “The Poinsett Club’s staff and members are a family, and like families do, we supported each other during this time. We continue to shine, and that has not gone unnoticed by our peers across the country.”
The Club Leaders Forum ranks the clubs nationwide every two years for this honor. With this announcement, the Poinsett Club has earned the Platinum Club of America designation for the eighth consecutive period and was also named as part of the Platinum Clubs of the World list by the same organization earlier this year.
“In spite of the ever-changing environment that 2020 continues to bring, the Poinsett Club has not faltered,” said Dr. Andrew McDonald, the president of the Poinsett Club Board of Governors. “It is because of the dedication and care from our staff that the club’s position on the list keeps improving, moving from number 33 in the country to number 31. Those advancements don’t happen by accident, and we are excited that the traditions we highlight here are recognized on the national stage.”
