Greenville Triumph SC will honor Upstate nonprofits at its Community Impact Celebration, presented by Hughes Agency, during a match against Portland Hearts of Pine on Aug. 1.
The game is at 7 p.m. in GE Vernova Park at BridgeWay Station in Mauldin.
The featured nonprofits include United Way of Greenville County, Miracle Hill Ministries, Harvest Hope Food Bank, Mental Health America of Greenville County, American Heart Association-Upstate SC, Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County, Carolina Family Services, Children’s Museum of the Upstate, and Meals on Wheels of Greenville.
The evening will include the national anthem being performed by members of David’s Table, a nonprofit serving adults with disabilities and their families, as well as Hannah Kinser from Uniquely You delivering the match ball and Southern Dance Connections performing at halftime. Greenville Triumph SC will also recognize their Unified Team, an inclusive soccer program that unites athletes ages 13 to 30 with and without intellectual disabilities, during the match.
“Greenville’s nonprofit community works hard every day to make sure no one in the Upstate is left behind, whether that means a warm meal, a safe place to call home or support for a neighbor with a disability,” said Velda Hughes, owner and CEO of Hughes Agency. “We are proud to support Greenville Triumph SC in shining a light on these organizations and the difference they make for our neighbors across the Upstate.”
Before kickoff, fans are invited to a free Fan Fest in the BridgeWay Station plaza from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event will feature opportunities to meet representatives from participating nonprofits, a DJ and activities such as cornhole, inflatables for kids, a poster making station and small-sided soccer games.
Tickets for the Community Impact Celebration start at $20 per person. For more information, visit triumphtix.com.
