The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club and Bon Secours St. Francis Cancer Center collaborated on Feb. 23 to celebrate Triumph fan Hudson Bethea’s victory over cancer.
The 22-year-old initially met the team as he battled leukemia during the Greenville Triumph’s inaugural season in 2019.

“Hudson is a special person, and we are so happy to see where he is now,” said Triumph co-captain Aaron Walker. “I remember meeting him during our first season, and his spirited personality permeated throughout our locker room immediately. He’s been a dedicated fan from the jump, despite how difficult his own personal journey has been, and that really speaks to who he is. It’s amazing that he’s in remission. Hudson is part of our Triumph family.”
During the celebration, Bethea was greeted at his final appointment by Triumph players and staff as well as Bon Secours staff members who cared for him throughout his cancer treatment.
