Denver Downs Farm in Anderson will host its first Sunflower Festival June 19, 20, 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will feature 12 acres of sunflowers for picking and photographing.
“Our family has always loved sunflowers and what better way to show the love than to invite the public to enjoy them face-to-face on the farm,” said Denver Downs Farms co-owner Catherine Garrison. “We fully expect to see these beauties show up all over Instagram – they are that gorgeous.”
Guests are encouraged to cut the sunflowers and make bouquets in buckets to take home. Photographers are welcome and private sessions may be scheduled for times outside of public hours.
In addition to the sunflowers, the festival will offer food such as hamburgers and shrimp and grits, as well as children’s activities including the jumping pillow, zip line, slides, ball zone, ropes course and climbing wall.
Attendees may also take photos with the farm’s miniature goats, miniature horses and sheep.
Admission is $25 per person and includes one stem or sunflower bloom. Attendees may also pick their own sunflowers. The prices are:
- $17 – six blooms
- $23 – 12 blooms
- $26 – 18 blooms
Dogs on leashes are permitted. Vendors and photographers may complete the interest applications on the website.
